Located just above the Equator and east of Gulf of Guinea, Cameroon is a lower middle-income country. After years of weak economic growth, Cameroon’s economy started to pick up in the recent years with growth rate 4.5 percent.

However, this upturn in growth should continue in order to bring the country out if the poverty gap. The government of Cameroon has taken serious steps to improve its institutional efficiency which is expected to have a positive impact on attracting FDI and boosting the economic growth.
