Syndication and funding

Our syndication and resource
mobilization teams have been
streamlining a range of syndicated deals
and structures to mobilize resources.

Under the Global Markets and Fixed Income Department, the Syndication Unit at ICD is engaged in mobilizing funds outside the balance sheet of ICD by facilitating Islamic syndicated transactions to benefit its customer base from the segments of Infrastructure & Corporate Finance and Financial Institutions. It also sources market-based ICD deals emanating from other banks in the regions.

Syndication activities in ICD complement its financing strategy to mobilize funds and to promote the use of Islamic modes of finance through the implementation of Islamic tranches in syndicated facilities.

In the light of our drive to help the private sector in our member countries to mobilize financing, our syndication and resource mobilization teams have been streamlining a range of deals and structures to mobilize resources. At the same time, the teams have been developing internal capacity and documentation to help facilitate a large Islamic syndication market under A/B and A/C financing loan schemes.
